MODULE One: Introduction to Modern Gaming/Gaming Control
Course Objective: Leaders in the casino industry need to understand how the law impacts casino operations. In this module, they will receive an overview of how gaming regulations are created and how those regulations apply within their particular state or tribal compact, along with hands-on exercises for in-depth knowledge about gaming regulations and ICMPs. This module also contains a brief history of how gaming came about.

MODULE Two:
Introduction to the Casino Leadership Role
Course Objective: In this training module, Supervisors learn the varying responsibilities that come with a supervisory role, including the challenges of moving from peer to manager. Those supervisors who complete the module will develop the skills necessary to excel in the casino environment and will experience fewer instances of role failure due to becoming overwhelmed and under confident.

MODULE Three:
Introduction to Revenue Auditing

Course Objective: This overview of the Revenue Auditing process explains how and why revenue audit is conducted in the casino. The supervisor will also discover how critical good ethics is in the casino environment. Additionally, they will learn the key role the Revenue Audit Department plays in overall casino success.

MODULE Four:
Introduction to Slot Operations

Course Objective: The Slots overview explains the role Slots plays in casino management. This module provides the mechanics of slots and the interaction of the Slots department with other casino areas.

MODULE Five: Introduction to Table Games Operation
Course Objective: The mechanics of the Table Games Operation is provided in this overview. The module explains how table games fits into the overall casino operations and how a successful Table Games Operation will increase the casino’s success.

MODULE Six: Introduction to Casino Communications
Course Objective: Communication is the cornerstone of civilization. Knowing how to communicate clearly and efficiently shows respect for others’ time and promotes good working relationships. In this module, Supervisors will learn the different types of communications, which communication is best for different situations, and the legal and ethical implications of communication.

MODULE Seven:
Introduction to Employee Development

Course Objective: In this session, Supervisors gain an understanding of the employee development process. They learn how to use coaching, learning paths, progressive discipline, and employee appraisals to find and promote their employees’ talents and interests. Supervisors discover that development requires commitment from both management and employee and that it must be reinforced to become ingrained.

MODULE Eight:
Introduction to Employee Relations
Course Objectives: It is easier to hire the right people than to terminate the wrong ones. In this session, Supervisors learn why it is important to deliberate over the hiring process rather than to “panic hire,” and how following company policies and procedures regarding hiring can prevent lawsuits, increase employee morale, and create a productive workplace.

MODULE Nine:
Introduction to Casino Accounting
Course Objective: Although they both involve money, there is a difference between the Revenue Auditing and the General Accounting departments. In this overview, students will learn the difference between those departments, as well as a working knowledge of both gaming and non-gaming revenues and how each fits into the overall success of the casino.

MODULE Ten:
Introduction to Casino Cage

Course Objective: This module discusses the main role of the Casino Cage. The overview relates how the Cage fits into general casino operations and supervisors will learn cage functionality, such as how a cage works. The relationship between a successful Cage operation and a successful casino is also related.

MODULE Eleven:
Introduction to Casino Marketing

Course Objective: Marketing plays a key role in any casino’s success. In this overview, the supervisor learns how marketing contributes to the bottom line, what constitutes marketing, and how marketing relates to other functional casino areas.

MODULE Twelve: Microsoft™ Applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS, PowerPoint, MS Outlook)

Course Objective: Microsoft Applications provide managers who wish to move up through the management chain with the necessary tools to work in technological environment. The courses, ranging from basic to advanced, are arranged in an easy-to-learn format that encourages personal growth.
